FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) are specialized hardware built into
computers to, in theory, increase the speed of large and complex computational
algorithms. In theory, because, until the Mitrion Virtual Processor and Mitrion-C,
there was no efficient way of programming FPGAs. Several months before the
annual Supercomputing Show, November 2005, journalists and analysts were briefed
on Mitrionics' solution. At the show, esi helped organize Mitrionics trade
